All-Lake Area: Division 5-6 Team

  • This is the third installment of the fourth-annual Lake Michigan Football Report post-season honors, the Division 3-4 All-Lake Team. Unlike the LMFR’s prospect rankings, the All-Lake teams are based on players’ performances in the 2015 season, not college potential.

  1. I look at those teams that had players make All-Lake and only ask – did they play any where near the schedule that West Catholic plays? #1 team in Division 5 Menominee, #1 or #2 team in Division 5 Lansing Catholic, #5 Team Reed City, #6 or 7 Muskegon Oakridge. On top of those Forest Hills Eastern and Jackson Lumen Christi both bigger schools and Comstock Park. Denny Alt, WZZM Player of the week for League Championship game only had 279 yards and 5 TD’s against a larger school, QB Gaetano Vallone who maybe one of the best QB’s in the Lake Area week in and week out. Connor Nemmers having been and outstanding ball player on both sides of the ball all year long. Just think you miss it from where I was sitting in the stands.
