Lake Area Defensive Player of the Week

Raquis McDonald  Sr  DB  Muskegon: In the Big Reds’ D3 dismantling of Byron Center, McDonald had an interception that led to a Muskegon score and returned a fumble for a TD.

Lake Area Small School Player of the Week

Brandon Anderson  Jr  RB  Cassopolis: He ran for 172 yards and three TDs for Cassopolis, which beat Concord for the school’s first regional title.

Lake Area Northern Michigan Player of the Week

Mason Powell  Sr  QB  Pine River: He ran for 240 yards and three TDs in Pine River’s defeat of Ravenna in a D6 regional to give Pine River it’s first-ever semifinals berth.
